My name is Santiago<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>I am <strong>licensed by the Health Department of Lichtenberg to practice psychotherapy according to the Heilpraktikergesetz<\/strong>, have a <strong>BSc with a specialization in Clinical Psychology <\/strong>(UNAM, Mexico) and an <strong>MSc in Neuroscience<\/strong> (TU Dresden). Currently, I am pursuing the <strong>official training to become a psychological psychotherapist with an MSc in CBT<\/strong> (Psychologische Hochschule Berlin). In addition to my practice, I work as a <strong>psychologist in the Department of Oncology at the Medical University of Lausitz &#8211; Carl Thiem.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I have professional experience with <strong>children and adolescents with special needs (e.g. ADHD)<\/strong>, in <strong>psychosocial counseling<\/strong>, <strong>neuropsychological diagnosis<\/strong>, and in research for the public health system in Germany. In my youth I spent time in the USA and in Canada, until I moved permanently to Germany at the age of 26. Since then I live happily in the city of Berlin. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My initial formation was in visual arts and I attained a master&#8217;s degree (MFA) in Documentary Film in the Filmuniversit\u00e4t Babelsberg in Potsdam, Germany. Film introduced me to the notion of creating a <em>narrative of life<\/em> . This ignited a desire in me to learn how to <strong>recreate our own &#8220;film&#8221; of life into something we love<\/strong> . <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I really enjoy working with couples and other romantic constellations, because I connect deeply with the <strong>human desire to bond<\/strong>. I have also pursued this in a scientific manner, as my thesis project was based on the construction and evaluation of a couples therapy model.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hi!
